R Bell UK Ltd logs are all kiln dried, resulting in a moisture content of less than 20%.  All of our logs have been certified as Ready to Burn and meet new legal requirements that came into force from 1 May 2021 in England.

The DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) Ready to Burn certification scheme is run by Woodsure and you can find our unique Ready to Burn certification number under the Woodsure logo further down this page.

You can burn our kiln dried firewood straight away; no drying time required, the very low moisture content means that you get a clean burn with maximum heat output.

All of our firewood is generated from our own tree services work or sourced within the UK.  We process and dry our firewood all year round.

We supply two types of firewood, mixed logs (50/50 softwood

and hardwood) or just hardwood, delivered in 1.4 or 2.8 cubic metre loads. All our firewood logs are approx 8-10 inches in length, thickness may vary.

Benefits of Softwood :

Softwood is useful for starting a fire and when you need a fire for a short period of time, as it is less dense and produces a stronger flame and burns faster than hardwoods.

Benefits of Hardwood :

Hardwoods are very dense which means the firewood will burn for a longer time as it has a higher calorific density.
